Nikodem Szpunar graduated with a degree in Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. His work includes designing furniture and interior furnishings, both for industrial and short-run production. In addition to collaborating with industry, he also creates paintings using his own tools and projects on the border of art.
His achievements include numerous awards, including those from the Dobry Wzór, International Furniture Design Award (Asahikawa), Make me!, and Must Have competitions. He was awarded Designer of the Year 2019 by Arena Design and Designer of the Year 2021 by the Institute of Industrial Design. His projects have been presented at international fairs, exhibitions, and industry events in Berlin, Milan, London, New York, Hong Kong, and Japan. He is a co-author of the AlterEgo collection, which won an award in the Dobry Design 2024 competition in the Best Polish Design category, for which he created ICHO-MIO and the PLASA chair. For Paged Meble, he also designed the PROP furniture family and the TUK collection.
