Born in Germany in 1984, Florian Schmid is known for his experimental and material-driven approach to design. After graduating from the Munich University of Applied Sciences in 2011, he founded his own studio, where he creates furniture, textiles, and consumer products. Schmid’s work is playful and iconic, often focusing on the character of materials to evoke strong emotional responses. His innovative designs have been showcased at prestigious events like the Salone del Mobile, London Design Festival, and BODW in Hong Kong. He has received numerous awards, including the iF Award and A&W Design Talent Award.
