Born in Fethiye and based in Istanbul, Berrak discovered her passion for detail at an early age through assembling everyday objects with her engineer father. She studied Industrial Design at Anadolu University in Eskisehir and also participated in an exchange program at HAWK Hochschule in Hildesheim, Germany. There, she explored European design culture, gaining insight into movements such as Bauhaus and De Stijl, which deeply influenced her design philosophy.
Her approach blends these historical influences with her own creative vision, resulting in clean, functional, and timeless designs. Berrak’s work emphasizes durability, usability, and aesthetic longevity. One of her recent works, the Rimo Armchair, was honored with a BigSee Design Award, highlighting her ability to balance innovation with simplicity. Through her thoughtful process and attention to human needs, she creates objects that go beyond trends, offering meaningful, long-lasting experiences to users.
