Jamaica 2910

SKU: Pedrali Jamaica 2910 Chair Categories: , , Tag:

A design homage to Milan’s iconic Bar Jamaica in Via Brera — once a vibrant meeting place for twentieth-century intellectuals and artists — the Jamaica chair captures the spirit of creative modernism through refined craftsmanship and a dynamic blend of materials.

This seating collection combines the warmth of ash plywood — used for the legs and ergonomic shell with a central lumbar curve — with a distinctive Ø16 mm tubular steel backrest that introduces a subtle chromatic accent. The steel tube gently traces the back of the chair, giving a visual lightness while offering structural support.

Highly customisable, Jamaica allows for numerous combinations of finishes between the seat, legs, and backrest — whether in harmonious tones or bold contrasts — making it ideal for hospitality, dining, or contemporary workspaces.

CMP Design

It is our desire to share a landscape, the vibrancy and movement of a square, the shade of a pergola – elements that lead us to design, produce, and use chairs.””

“CMP” is the acronym of Cazzaniga, Mandelli, and Pagliarulo, the three founders and friends who established the studio in 2009. All three come from an academic environment at the Polytechnic University of Milan, which proved extremely fertile in ideas thanks to the fortunate coincidence of a human environment rich in positive and creative relationships.

A characteristic feature of all CMP’s works could be identified in the realization of visual connections between objects of the past, objects of popular culture, and natural elements. The latter constitute the basic “”materials”” of every design, which are then intuitively combined and simplified through the dialogue of the three founders to produce simple and timeless concepts.
