The Sculpt Stool by 101 Copenhagen draws its inspiration from Brutalist architecture of the 1950s. True to the raw materials and simplified block-like structures of the movement, the stool features a monolithic design that makes a powerful statement. Cast in lightweight fiber Cement and hand-painted, each piece showcases a unique surface texture, blending industrial minimalism with sculptural elegance. For added comfort, a custom Sculpt cushion is available separately.

Similar to the process in fashion, the design at 101 Copenhagen, begins with an idea that evolves into a full layered narrative for each collection.

Kristian Sofus Hansen, designer – With a background from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and time spent living and studying in Japan, Kristian Sofus Hansen brings aesthetics and simplicity to the Danish design heritage and translates these details into the 101 Copenhagen collection. Mainly designing sculptures and objects, it is a never-ending source of inspiration for Hansen, whose aim is to create characteristic and functional designs to remember.
